Our Fit Story
For years, the Banks family has been making waves, creating an astounding mark in Virginia, across the U.S., and even overseas. What started as a dream from Joshua Banks has now become the journey that has led him and his family to where they are now. Shortly after Joshua created his successful fitness line, "Flex Your Fitness," he began to shift his focus to more. During this time, he noticed a lack of activity among today's youth. Due to that he decided to start a nonprofit called "Flex 4 Change," which gave birth to an event called Kids Bash. This event went on to become the nation's largest kids' fitness event. The impact of getting so many kids up and active was life-changing as they were able to reach thousands of kids over the years. Covid hit Flex 4 Change hard in 2020 and put a halt to Kids Bash and several of Joshua's other businesses. This forced him to find a new way to reach individuals in helping them live a more active, healthy lifestyle. He later began to train clients online instead of in person. Thereafter, so many changes took place in Joshua's life after this time frame. He met the love of his life, Sara Banks, and received his daughters full-time. When Joshua and Sara received their children full-time to ensure that they were able to give all of their energy to seeing them become their best selves, they both decided it would be best to cut off the additional income of personal training. When the girls arrived, they were not used to being active and had formed unhealthy habits that caused their weight to be an area of concern. Sara Banks, spending most of her time with the children, made a concerted effort to help the family as a whole eat healthier meals daily. They began to go on runs together, work out together, and enjoy being a family. It was initially met with resistance, but as time went on, Savannah, Isabella, and Josiah all realized just how great healthy food can be and how much better they felt after working out. So instead of Joshua going back to business as usual training clients, this time he decided to bring the entire family on board. They plan to use their personal testimony as motivation for other families that struggle to find balance in a busy life. If you truly love your loved ones, you're going to want to fight for them to live a long, healthy, and prosperous life. This program is symbolic of that and is the reason why, as a family, the Fit Family is reaching out to more families to join this amazing program.

Joshua also has a background in the medical field, working as a full-time CT scan technologist and owning a mobile portable x-ray company. Despite his busy schedule as an entrepreneur, husband, and father, Joshua is dedicated to promoting health and wellness across all ages and platforms. He is particularly known for his event Kids Bash, which is recognized as the Nation's Largest Kids Fitness event. Joshua's passion for helping individuals and families become healthier is the driving force behind Flex Your Fit Fam. Outside of his professional life, Joshua enjoys boxing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.

Encouraging him to try new, healthier options has been a challenge, but Josiah has discovered healthier alternatives that he genuinely enjoys. When he's not napping, Josiah loves to engage his imagination with his toys, learn new things on his tablet, and shower his family with cuddles and affection.
